Dysport
Description
Dysport® (abobotulinumtoxinA) is an injectable neuromodulator used for selected cosmetic indications to temporarily reduce the appearance of dynamic facial lines and wrinkles caused by muscle activity. Prior to treatment, an individualized assessment is completed to determine whether Dysport® is appropriate for the client. The assessment considers the client's health history, medications, allergies or sensitivities, previous aesthetic treatments, treatment goals, relevant contraindications, and the proposed treatment area. Treatment is individualized according to the client's assessment, relevant product information and approved indications, the manufacturer's directions for use, the practitioner's education and competence, and applicable professional and regulatory requirements. Results vary between individuals and are temporary; treatment does not guarantee a particular cosmetic outcome. Possible effects include temporary injection-site discomfort, redness, swelling, bruising, headache, tenderness, or other localized reactions. More significant adverse effects can occur and will be discussed before treatment. Clients will be provided with appropriate post-treatment instructions, including symptoms that require prompt medical assessment. Dysport® treatment is provided following appropriate authorization, informed consent, infection-prevention and control practices, medication-safety procedures, and applicable documentation requirements.
